Aloha, I’m Francesca Corinne Sakai—founder and creator of Passion Moon Potions.

I call Kona, on Hawaii’s beautiful Big Island—also known as the Orchid Island—my home. Passion Moon Potions was born from an unexpected twist in my journey as a pastry chef.

For years, I crafted decadent desserts and designed perfect lattes in bakeries and coffee shops, dreaming of one day owning my own bakery. But after too many 4 a.m. mornings, I knew I needed a new path—one where I could still create, but on my own terms.

It started simply: I made lip balms (I was a little obsessed with them) and later experimented with lotions and salves, gifting them to family and friends. One day, someone shared one of my early lotions—back when it had the consistency of goat cheese!—and loved it so much they asked how much I sold it for. That was the spark that lit my new passion.

Passion Moon Potions began as a hobby in 2001 and took root in 2008 when I joined Etsy. Sales were slow at first, and I almost closed shop—until a YouTube review of my products brought my first sale. From there, things slowly but surely grew.

Today, I pour the same creativity I once used for pastries into making indulgent “desserts for the skin,” like cream cheese frosting hand & body soaps, and crème brûlée whipped shea butters. Every product is made in small batches in my home studio with natural, vegan-friendly ingredients—always free of harsh chemicals, parabens, sulfates, and phthalates.

At Passion Moon Potions, skincare is more than a routine—it’s a sensory experience, infused with aloha, designed to nourish your skin and lift your spirit. My hope is that these little potions not only pamper you, but also inspire you to follow your own passions.
